a colorful week

Upon reflection



it was an incredibly colorful week



which you'd expect when you hang with gardeners





but i was thinking more of this



and this



but even there you'll see some fantastic things





merely getting around was colorful



and often painterly



there were some blues Miles Davis could have worked with





and some blues that were yellow (don't wanna know why)



some yellow quite mellow



But often the most colorful moments were those with the bugs



like this extremely green thing



or this huge one -who had an orange mouth, which i slightly envy



but as is often the case, red-hot red was hottest

You might think the tube's a bit grey



but it can actually be surprisingly colorful

All the Queen's Ravens

Finally got to see this band live



They're called All the Queen's Ravens, fronted by the fantastic Charlie and Laura



with the awesome Luke on guitar



and a really strong drum'n'bass section



Normally they have a bigger line-up and play amplified, so it's a real testament to their rock-your-socks-off abilities that the songs were strong as ever unplugged and bare. Here's an example of the band in full swing

They say London can get a bit rainy



but that's not necessarily a bad thing

It was a nice day for a drive, be it in something fancy-ish

or a bit less so

(check out the gorgeous white-cheeked rear tyre)

be it leisurely

or professionally

but no matter how nice of a drive it was, nothing beats flying

Yesterday was Queen's day in Holland, which officially is the birthday of our Queen's late mother, but actually an excuse to go out and drink



Since our queen comes from the House of Oranje-Nassau, it is traditional to wear orange while getting drunk





though other colors get served too



and some just wear white



and a badass drumkit



in spirit it's all orange
